Strider was created by the extremely talented robot designers and manufacturers at Ferrucci Robotics, in Carmine District. Not a converted bot of any kind, but purpose-built for robot fighting and robot racing.
With the ability to be configured for racing or fighting, Strider had characteristics beneficial for both. It was sculpted to slip through the air cleanly at high speed, resulting in beautiful organic contours.
The legs, necessary for power and speed, were over-engineered and could produce a powerful kick in the arena.
Striders are not cheap, but they are beautifully made and designed. Those that can afford them usually become fans for life.
